和田拓海 / Takumi Wada

1988年生まれ。東京都在住。

20代前半から北米や欧州、東南アジアを中心に旅を始め、2014年に訪れたカナダで路上生活者を撮影したことをきっかけにドキュメンタリー写真に浸る。以来、海外をフィールドとして経済発展の影で広がる貧困や難民問題などを取材。2020年のパンデミックを起点に自身の内在的な側面にフォーカスし始め、現在はライフワークの旅をテーマとした作品制作に注力している。

Born in 1988, Based in Tokyo

In his early 20s, he began traveling mainly in North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia, and began taking documentary photographs after photographing street people in Canada, which he visited in 2014. Since then, he has worked overseas, covering poverty and refugee issues that spread behind economic development. He then began to focus on the intrinsic aspects of himself, starting with the pandemic in 2020, and now focuses on creating works in the cities he has visited during his life's work.
